If CycleSic does not load or shows an empty surface, do not change many settings at once. First identify the category: session, permission, data, calculation, viewport or command.
Diagnostic rule — “Blank”, “zero”, “locked” and “error” are not synonyms. The manual and Nicola must preserve that distinction.
60-second check
- Read the displayed symbol and timeframe.
- Check connection and session state.
- Look for a message, lock or loading state.
- Return to Dashboard or Price.
- Reset the chart view.
- Wait before repeating the command.
- If it persists, record time, asset, timeframe, action and exact message.
Blank chart or insufficient candles
Possible categories include no data from the current source, unavailable timeframe or history, expired session, temporarily unavailable service, a viewport away from the candles or an overlapping panel. Test a known available asset and timeframe, then document the difference. Reset and zoom out if the chart shows only a few bars.
Indicator missing or locked
Check the legend and object manager, visibility, collapsed panes, sufficient history, calculation state, an access message and the pane's own scale. A service error is not a neutral output. Keep the message and retry later once.
Layout opens at the wrong point
A layout can remember its time window. If those candles are not in current history, CycleSic can fit available bars. Reset the view, check that objects still exist, and save again only after inspection.
Alert or mobile gesture problems
For an alert, check symbol, enabled state, direction, threshold, time, indicator timeframe, delivery channel and history. Separate an undetected event from an undelivered notification.
On mobile, open Settings → Tutorial → Gesture tutorial, turn off the crosshair when instructed and return to selection. Avoid dragging near an alert or anchor when you only intend to scroll.
Report useful evidence
Record date and timezone, device and browser, asset and timeframe, active view, action, exact message and a screenshot without personal information. Never send passwords, tokens, API keys, account data or full CSV files through an unverified channel.
