CycleSic: first start, assets, timeframes and data

How to open CycleSic, select an asset and timeframe, and check that the loaded data is suitable for analysis.

To start in CycleSic, open the terminal, choose an asset in the top bar and select a timeframe. Before adding indicators, make sure the chart contains coherent candles and enough history.

Transparency — This procedure documents Emiciclo's own interface. It does not describe proprietary formulas or recommend a market.

Open CycleSic

  1. Sign in to the Emiciclo app.
  2. Open CycleSic from the menu or /cyclesic.
  3. Wait for the chart and control bar.
  4. Check for guest status, an access request or a lock.

Expected result: the terminal surface appears. This alone does not mean every data source and tool is available.

Change the asset or symbol

  1. Select the asset control in the top bar.
  2. Open Select Asset.
  3. Search for or choose the required symbol.
  4. Confirm if prompted.
  5. Wait for the name, ticker and candles to update.

Expected result: the new asset is identified in the bar and the chart reloads. Indicators and alerts tied to a symbol can also change context.

Similar tickers can refer to different venues or feeds. Check the full name rather than identifying a market by price alone.

Change the timeframe

  1. Open the Timeframe control next to the asset.
  2. Choose the required interval.
  3. Wait for panels to recalculate and redraw.
  4. Read the timeframe label again before interpreting an output.

Expected result: each candle represents the new interval and timeframe-dependent tools are realigned or recalculated. A timeframe change is not merely zoom: it changes the sampled series.

Validate the loaded data

Check that candles follow a plausible time sequence, no unexplained gaps or frozen sections are visible, the last bar fits the market session, enough bars exist for the tool, and no loading or error state remains.

A blank value is not zero. It may mean insufficient history, data not yet received, an unfinished calculation, an unreachable service or missing permission.

Guest mode and locked features

In guest mode, the chart may remain visible while some engines, indicators or layouts are locked. A lock describes access, not analysis. Confirm authentication, read the visible message and separate “not available to this profile” from “data unavailable”.

If it fails

  • Selector does not open: close overlapping panels and reload if necessary.
  • Name changes but chart does not: wait for completion and check the connection.
  • Timeframe reverts: a saved layout may be restoring its view.
  • Chart is blank: see Common problems and record symbol, timeframe, time and visible message.

Do not interpret the chart until you can confirm asset, timeframe and data integrity.
