Synchronicity trick (Hurst)

Confirm a trading-cycle trough using FLD or VTL of synchronized shorter cycles, without waiting for the long-cycle cross.

Problem

A long-cycle trough (e.g. 80-day) is hard to confirm in real time — long-cycle FLD/VTL crosses arrive late.

Solution

Shorter-cycle troughs synchronize with the long one. When a long-cycle trough is expected:

  1. Watch FLD and VTL of shorter synchronized cycles (e.g. 2-day, 5-day on daily).
  2. A bullish cross on the short-cycle FLD/VTL confirms the long trough is forming or complete.
  3. Entry possible before the long-cycle cross.
