First access and demo mode in Ufficio

How to open Ufficio, use the demonstration dataset and distinguish demo, public journal and personal account before reading results.

The demo uses synthetic transactions to show the interface. It teaches you where controls are; it does not measure a strategy or access a real account.

Goal — Reach the Dashboard knowing whether you are viewing examples, a public journal or your own profile data.

Documentation boundary — The demonstration dataset reproduces plausible UI states, not real results or performance claims.

Try Ufficio without connecting data

  1. Open Ufficio.
  2. If the access screen appears, enter as a visitor or close it using the visible control.
  3. When DEMO MODE — sample data appears, treat P&L, trades, charts and metrics as demonstrations.
  4. Explore Dashboard, Analytics and Diary. Visitor mode restricts actions that write or synchronise data.

The demo lives in the browser and may be regenerated or lost after a reload. Do not use it as storage.

Three states that are not interchangeable

  • Demo: yellow banner, synthetic data, no external connection.
  • Public journal: read-only view of a shared journal; it is not your profile.
  • Personal account: authenticated session, profile providers and settings; the demo banner must be absent when you read real data.

If you sign in and DEMO MODE remains, close it with the banner control or re-enter Ufficio and check again. Do not interpret those figures as personal while the banner is visible.

Move to your own data

  1. Select Sign in.
  2. Complete sign-in or registration and return to /ufficio.
  3. Confirm that your profile is visible and DEMO MODE is absent.
  4. Open Settings to connect a provider. Signing in alone imports no transactions.

Ufficio may restore the last Ufficio page you visited. Landing in Analytics or Diary is not a session error; use navigation to return to the Dashboard.

Observable result

The procedure is complete when you can name the current state and explain where its data comes from. If the origin is unclear, stop before comparing P&L, drawdown or the report card.
