Emiciclo App data, privacy and boundaries

How to separate public content, account data, exchange connections and information that must not be entered in the Emiciclo App or Nicola.

On this page

Treat information according to its context, not the appearance of the screen. A public page, a profile and an exchange connection carry different risks.

Four contexts

  • Public Cyclepedia: entries and sources can be read without an account.
  • Emiciclo account: profile, preferences and personal activities require a session.
  • Ufficio and exchanges: authorised connections concern operating data within the granted permissions.
  • Nicola: questions retrieve editorial content; they are not a place for credentials or secrets.

Never paste passwords, recovery codes, seed phrases, private keys, API credentials, session tokens or unrequested identity documents into an entry, support request or Nicola conversation.

Use only Ufficio's dedicated flow for an exchange and follow the checked procedure. Grant the minimum required permissions, exclude withdrawals where the flow permits it, and verify revocation and expiry at the exchange. Reduced permissions limit risk; they do not remove it.

Emiciclo is not a broker, exchange or custodian. Analysis, votes, rankings and Nicola answers do not automatically place market orders. Verify recipient, risk and status with your intermediary before acting.

On a shared device, log out from Profile and close the app tabs. Closing a panel or locking the screen is not always a logout.
