In simple terms
FUD stands for Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. In market conversation it means a negative news item, rumour, or narrative that leads some people to sell or stay out. The label describes an emotional effect; it does not prove that the information is false.
How to read it
When a community calls a warning FUD, separate tone from facts. Is there a primary source? What changed in flows, liquidity, or risk? An uncomfortable warning can be true even when it is shared with exaggeration. Conversely, calling every criticism FUD can hide a real problem.
Limits and links
FUD can amplify panic and forced selling, while FOMO pushes in the opposite direction. Verify the evidence and follow the risk plan; do not decide only from a community reaction.
